Canadian Government backed by Canadian business leaders are to pass legislation giving sovereignty to the USA.
In one of the biggest political shake ups in the history of the American continent, Canada will now be known as a region of Great America.
The move is being hailed by Canadian business leaders as a great victory for commonsense and investment.
Canada's former Prime Minister went on to explain,
" Following our losses of failed oil exploration in Alaska our investors are delighted that we have joined the USA. With the broad shoulders of the newly established Great America we can pull our resources and now be safer, securer and go on to great things".
High on the newly formed Nations agenda will be the invasion of Mexico which has been a thorn in Americas side for so long.
General Dwight Totenkopf the 3rd stated earlier today; " with the help of Canada's formidable fighting men we will soon enlarge our army and push those Mexicans back to hell".
The USA who have been fighting the Mexicans for decades and were close to bankruptcy are now delighted to have absorbed the new Canadian Taxpayers into the treasury.
A new banking system has already been instituted by the Canadians and the printing of the new Currency of Great American Pounds will be introduced.
Already Canadian men who have been made redundant following Canada's financial collapse are rushing to join the new Great American Army.
However not all Canadians are happy with the loss of sovereignty.
Reports of some isolated rioting by plebs over what they see as " a parcel of rogues selling Scotland off for silver".
Thankfully the Army of Great America has quelled much of the disturbances and the ringleaders have been rounded up and will soon be sent for transportation as slaves to the plantations.
Speaking to allay the fears of some Canadians the President of USA ( Great America) stated;
" Today we have accepted the Canadians as part of our Great Nation. In time we hope that Canadians come to accept our benign and tolerant leadership. Accept our kindness and in time we will forgive your primitive ways and may even come to regard you as Americans of the North and not just subsidy junkies who can't run an oil industry".
